Bee on Yellow Flower, Watercolor

Bee on Yellow Flower, 9×9 inches, watercolor

Bees are a favorite subjects.  They are dwindling rapidly in numbers, and this does not bode well for farmers who need bees to pollinate crops.  There are a number of causes for the die-off, but the one that the U.S. could act on now–banning glyphosate–is not popular.  No doubt the makers of the herbicides that contain it (Monsanto adds it to Roundup), have strong lobbyists in Washington.  This saddens me.

The painting can be purchased here through Daily Paintworks.
